The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)

for the purpose of workcation and Thai soft power related activities

A. Purpose of Visit: Workcation (digital nomads/remote workers/freelancers)

Required documents:

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months and contain at least ONE completely empty visa page.

2. ONE visa application form completely filled out.

3. One recent color photo with white background of 2 inches, with a full-faced view, and must be taken within 6 months. Photocopy of photograph will not be accepted.ONE visa application form completely filled out.

4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB OR equivalent amount in foreign currency e.g. bank statements OR sponsorship letter covering living expenses.

5. Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status. 

B. Purpose of Visit: Thai soft power related activities e.g. muaythai, Thai culinary training and medical treatment

Required documents:

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months and contain at least ONE completely empty visa page.

2. ONE visa application form completely filled out.

3. One recent color photo with white background of 2 inches, with a full-faced view, and must be taken within 6 months. Photocopy of photograph will not be accepted.

4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB OR equivalent amount in foreign currency e.g. bank statements OR sponsorship letter covering living expenses.

5. Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from hospital/medical center

C. Purpose of Visit: Spouse and children under 20 years old of DTV Visa holders

Required documents:

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months and contain at least ONE completely empty visa page.

2. ONE visa application form completely filled out.

3. One recent color photo with white background of 2 inches, with a full-faced view, and must be taken within 6 months. Photocopy of photograph will not be accepted.

4. Proof of relationship to the DTV visa holder e.g. a copy of marriage certificate / birth certificate / certificate of adoption.

5. Financial evidence of DTV visa holder.

6. A copy of visa page of the DTV visa holder.

Number of Entry: Multiple 

Validity of Visa: 5 years

Period of Stay: up to 180 days per entry

Visa Fee: 11,000 NTD (in cash only)

For Necessary or Urgent Work or Ad-hoc Work need to notify the registrar in person at any international airport or labour offices in Thailand. The process take one working day and can only be obtained after the foreigner has entered Thailand. The work shall be completed within 15 days.

• Visa fee is non-refundable.
• Nationals of certain countries are required to apply a visa only at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Thai Embassy. Therefore, travelers are advised to contact the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate-General to find out where they may apply for a visa to Thailand before departure.
• Nationals from Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Central African Republic, China, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guinea, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Nepal, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, Republic of the Congo, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen who have residence visa in Taiwan can apply Destination Thailand Visa at this Office.
