Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong

          นายณรงค์ บุญเสถียรวงศ์ เข้ารับตำแหน่ง ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทย เมื่อวันที่ ๑๑ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๗ โดยก่อนหน้านี้ เริ่มเข้ารับราชการที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ตั้งแต่ปี ๒๕๓๖ เคยปฏิบัติ​หน้าที่ที่กรมสารนิเทศ กรมเอเชียใต้ ตะวันออกกลางและแอฟริกา และกรมเอเชียตะวันออก ตำแหน่งสุดท้ายก่อนมาดำรงตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการใหญ่สำนักงานการค้าและ​เศรษฐกิจ​ไทย คือ รองอธิบดีกรมการกงสุล
          นอกจากนี้ ยังเคยดำรงตำแหน่งในต่างประเทศ ได้แก่ เลขานุการเอก ประจำสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงธากา ประเทศบังกลาเทศ ​ระหว่างปี ๒๕๔๔ - ๒๕๔๘ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา ประเทศแคนาดา ระหว่างปี ๒๕๕๕ - ๒๕๕๘ และอัครราชทูต      สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงย่างกุ้ง ประเทศสาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมา ระหว่างปี ๒๕๖๐ - ๒๕๖๒ ตามลำดับ

          Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong took up his duty as the Executive Director of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in February 2024. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1993 and has held positions in the Department of Information, Department of South Asia, Middle East and African Affairs, Department of East Asian Affairs, and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs respectively.
          He also served in various positions abroad including First Secretary at the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka from 2001 to 2005, Minister Counsellor at the Embassy in Ottawa from 2012 to 2015, and as Minister at the Embassy in Yangon from 2017 to 2019.
          In this role, he has been actively involved in strengthening economic partnership between Thailand and Taiwan. He has also been instrumental in promoting investment opportunities in Thailand to Taiwanese investors. He has highlighted Thailand’s infrastructure projects and encouraged Taiwanese businesses to explore investment prospects in the country.
          In June 2024, under his leadership, Taiwan and Thailand signed an agreement on investment promotion and protection, further solidifying the economic ties between the two regions.
          As the Representative of Thailand in Taipei, he fully supports the facilitation for Taiwanese to ease of Traveling and Doing Business in Thailand, for instance, visa free (60 days) treatment for Taiwanese in particular.
