The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)

for the purpose of workcation and Thai soft power related activities

 

A. Purpose of Visit: Workcation (digital nomads/remote workers/freelancers)

Required documents:

1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document, with validity not less than six months 

2. Photograph taken within the last six months 

3. Proof of permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted   

4. CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY AND EXIT DATES from NATIONAL IMMIGRATION AGENCY (Validity 1 month)

5. Financial evidences: (1) last-3-month bank statement(s) from any bank(s) with a minimum balance of 500,000 THB or equivalent; or (2) sponsorship letter(s)

6. Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status. 

7. Certificate of criminal record clearance from the country of nationality or the country where the application is submitted

 

B. Purpose of Visit: Thai soft power related activities e.g. muaythai, Thai culinary training and medical treatment

Required documents:

1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document, with validity not less than six months 

2. Photograph taken within the last six months 

3. Proof of permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted   

4. CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY AND EXIT DATES from NATIONAL IMMIGRATION AGENCY (Validity 1 month)

5. Financial evidences: (1) last-3-month bank statement(s) from any bank(s) with a minimum balance of 500,000 THB or equivalent; or (2) sponsorship letter(s)

6. Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from hospital/medical center

7. Certificate of criminal record clearance from the country of nationality or the country where the application is submitted

C. Purpose of Visit: Spouse and children under 20 years old of DTV Visa holders

Required documents:

1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document, with validity not less than six months 

2. Photograph taken within the last six months 

3. Proof of permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted   

4. CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY AND EXIT DATES from NATIONAL IMMIGRATION AGENCY (Validity 1 month)

5. Financial evidences: (1) last-3-month bank statement(s) from any bank(s) with a minimum balance of 500,000 THB or equivalent; or (2) sponsorship letter(s)

6. A copy of visa page of the DTV visa holder.

7. Proof of relationship to the DTV visa holder (e.g., a copy of marriage certificate/ birth certificate/ certificate of adoption)

8. Certificate of criminal record clearance from the country of nationality or the country where the application is submitted

 

Number of Entry: Multiple 

Validity of Visa: 5 years

Period of Stay: up to 180 days per entry

Visa Fee: 11,000 NTD (in cash only)

 

 

For Necessary or Urgent Work or Ad-hoc Work need to notify the registrar in person at any international airport or labour offices in Thailand. The process take one working day and can only be obtained after the foreigner has entered Thailand. The work shall be completed within 15 days.

• Please note that Consular officers reserve the right to require additional documents, or an interview, as deemed necessary, and the right to reject any application without having to provide reasons.
• Visa fee is non-refundable.
• Nationals of certain countries are required to apply a visa only at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Thai Embassy. Therefore, travelers are advised to contact the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate-General to find out where they may apply for a visa to Thailand before departure.
