เมื่อวันที่ ๑๕ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๗ นายณรงค์ บุญเสถียรวงศ์ ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทย ได้เข้าร่วมงาน Taipei Chamber of Commerce 2024 New Year (Spring) Networking Event ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยหอการค้าไทเปเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างสมาชิกหอการค้าฯ กับผู้แทนจากสำนักงานต่างประเทศ รวมถึงผู้แทนหอการค้าของไต้หวัน ๒๘ แห่งในสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน โดยในโอกาสดังกล่าว ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ฯ กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ เน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยกับไต้หวัน โดยเฉพาะสาขานวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยี อาทิ สมาร์ทอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ยานยนต์แห่งอนาคต สมาร์ทซิตี้ รวมถึงการส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจชีวภาพ เศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน และเศรษฐกิจสีเขียว โดยภายใต้การนำของรัฐบาลไทยชุดปัจจุบัน ประเทศไทยมีความพร้อมและเปิดกว้างสำหรับนักลงทุน นอกจากนี้ รัฐบาลไทยยังดำเนินมาตรการยกเว้นวีซ่าสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวไต้หวันเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในระดับประชาชนให้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ระหว่างกันมากขึ้นในทุกมิติ

On 15 February 2024, Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong, Executive Director of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office, participated in the Taipei Chamber of Commerce 2024 New Year (Spring) Networking Event, which was organised with the purpose of furthering the connection between the members and the foreign missions in Taiwan, as well as the members of Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in the People Republic of China. Taking this opportunity, the Executive Director delivered a speech emphasising the importance of economic cooperation between Thailand and Taiwan, especially on smart technology and innovation, including smart electronics, future vehicles, smart cities, and bio-circular-green industries. Under the current government, Thailand is even more open for business. The Royal Thai Government has granted visa-free entry to Taiwanese tourists to facilitate the ease of travelling to Thailand, enhancing an even closer people-to-people relationship.
